Live roleplaying
General
This is a hobby I practised for some years when I was in college. Basically you
dress up like someone from the time when the live roleplaying event is supposed
to be, often the middle ages.
Then you pretend to be this person and interact with
others. What I found most rewarding though was to arrange the events. I liked coming
up with the intrigues and plots.
Uppgörelse i Kislev
This was a one day winter event which I arranged with my brother Jonte and Fredrik
Engström. We planned it for maybe 30-40 persons but the sparse amounts of events
in the winter made it popular and we had around 100 people. The weather was very
good with fairy-tale snow on the ground and trees. Most plots worked well and we
got good feedback and were satisfied with the event. The only setback was that a
group of chaos cultists did not find the live area so the evil side was too weak
during the event.
Skuggspel
I was the main arranger of Skuggspel which I arranged together with Jonte, Per Torberger
and Fredrik Engström. This was an event for 160 people, four days centered on a
wedding. We built a village with one inn, one bar and several houses. We got very
good weather and most of the plots worked. Only major setback was that the problems
that was supposed to pose problems for the wedding never happened. We got very good
feedback with several players saying it was one of the best events they had attended
and even topping one internet list of best live events. There are some pictures
from this event in album Skuggspel.
Värdshuset vid skogens rand
This event I arranged with Per Torberger. We planned it for 100 people centered
around an inn for three days. However, we advertised it badly and did not even contact
the participants of our earlier events so we only got araond 40 participants. We
had good weather and most plots worked even though there was too little action due
to the plots. We got mixed feedback and all in all it was an okej event.
