General

On this webpage I display my professional astronomy work. My publications and programs I have produced as an astronomer.

Publications for my PhD

This is my first publication as a first name author. It is a proceedings article written after the conference "Cosmic Radiation Fields: Sources in the early Universe" held in Desy, Germany November 9-12, 2010. The articles topic is the prospect of detecting population III.1 stars when pointing the JWST through a gravitational lens.

Can the James Webb Space Telescope detect isolated population III stars?

Population III galaxies can possibly be distinguished from other objects by their colors in different filters. In the following article we both present the Yggdrasil spectra synthesis model and derive some color criteria for population III galaxies.

The spectral evolution of the first galaxies. I.JWST detection limits and colour criteria for population III galaxies

In this article we investigate consider strong Lya radiations impact on the prospect of identifying pop III galaxies at high redshift.

The Hubble Space Telescope colours of high-redshift Population III galaxies with strong Lyα emission

Other publications

This is my first published article as a co-author. It involved some material from my Bachelor of science thesis.

Finding high-redshift Dark stars with the James Webb Space telescope

This article puts constraints on the number of so called supermassive dark stars. This by calculating that they should have been observed through the Hubble space telescope already. The errata corrects an erraneous calculation in the paper.

Talks

My first talk was at Tevpa in Pars 22 July 2010. It was about the results in my first two papers.

Bachelor thesis

This is my Bachelor thesis report. It is about the number of population III or Dark stars that will exist within a field of view of the JWST. It also contains a calculation of what magnification will be necessary to view the most luminous population III stars with JWST.

Population III and Dark Stars at High Redshifts

Here is a windows installer for a small program to calculate the values in the report with other parameters.

Programs

I have done a program to calculate different data for a universe given the energy densities. Here you can download a Windows installer with it:

Cosmology fate

This is a program to manage your articles and bibtex entries:

Article organizer

I have done a program to calculate magnitudes in different photometric systems. Here you can download a Windows installer with it:

Yggdrasil spectral analyzer

If you would like to calculate Vega magnitudes you need a Vega spectrum as well. This is the same spectrum as is used by Pegase:
